Earthing Solutions supplied and installed a complete earth grid for the Box Hill Zone Substation. The project involved:
- 1800m buried earth grid
- Surface-mounted earth grid
- Crimped connections, connections to fenceposts and gates
- Supply and installation of deep earth electrodes
- Supply and installation of complete embedded earthing in the transformer bay
- Continuity testing
- Supply and installation of 3 x 15m and 1 x 20m lightning masts with steel reinforced foundations
Challenges:
Negotiating access restrictions for the installation of the lightning masts via a city crane.
With a very tight delivery time frame, meticulous coordination between Earthing Solutions and the Endeavour Energy management teams was critical.
Results:
The project was completed on time and on budget.
