Challenge: Earthing Solutions had a six-hour window to crane in the drilling equipment, install the electrodes, and crane out the equipment. Construction of the college was well underway, and the equipment had to be manouevred into a very restrictive area. The compressor and drilling rig had to be lifted about 50-60m in the air over the building under construction and then swung in under the soffit. The GEO 105, the most compact drill in the Earthing Solutions’ fleet suited the task.
Result: The crane-in crane-out went without a hitch and the electrodes were installed 4.8m-deep in the sandstone, meeting the design requirements. The client was happy with the outcome.
