Supply and installation of complete lightning protection systems for 18 fire tower lookout structures situated from Bega on the NSW South Coast to Casino on the Far North Coast. With most of the locations being remote, Earthing Solutions had to coordinate with the Forestry Corporation and associated authorities.

Each fire tower required buried earth grids, deep earth electrodes,  specialised Cadweld connections, and complex above ground installations.

The project required work-at-heights equipment with Earthing Solutions utilising elevated work platforms to reach the 45m-high lookout towers.

Challenge: The project presented challenges around project management and coordination.

Result: Lightning protection systems were successfully installed at the 18 fire tower lookouts.
