Complete earth grid supply and installation including:

• Buried earth grid
• Surface mounted earth grid
• Operator earth mats
• 240mm2 crimped connections to fence posts and gates

The project also included supply and installation of 16 x 6m deep earth electrodes.

Challenge:

The design standards were a hybrid of Endeavour Energy and Transgrid standards so the project was not a straightforward installation. The complete earth bar and connections were undertaken in four transformer bunds which required skilled and experienced personnel and specialised equipment.

Careful coordination between the Earthing Solutions and Avant Constructions management teams was needed with safety being a high priority with the constant movement of plant and equipment on site.

Result:

The project was completed successfully on time in late 2024 with Ausconnex managing compliance with standards.
