Supplied and installed earthing and bonding for Ausgrid 132kV cable joint bay including:

• 4 x 2.4m electrodes
• Embedded welding of reinforcement
• Earth tags and 2 x earth bars with cabling from earth tags to earth bars
• Earth continuity testing of reinforcement
• 3 pole FOP testing of the complete installation

Challenge: The main challenge with the 132kV joint bay project was staging the installation to coordinate with scheduled concrete pours and to meet the client’s milestones. Earthing Solutions programmed afternoon shifts to work around Ausgrid’s work on the 132kV overhead conductors.

Result: The project was completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
